DAY OF REST
Many people that I have come across in my fitness encounters have relayed to me that taking a day off once a week from working out does not aid in weight loss. I believe that is FALSE! Working out five to six days a week with a day or two of rest and recovery is increasingly beneficial. Getting proper rest and muscle recovery is needed in order to properly gain muscle and lose fat . As mentioned on fitwatch.com, “A day off from working out is a great way to not only allow some well-deserved rest for your body, but also to help you relax mentally and emotionally.” I believe this is a great statement and sums up why taking a day off is an important idea to adopt into your fitness routine. What do you think? Do you take a day off from working out during the week? If so, do you find that the next day you are more or less motivated to hit the gym?
