Yesterday after my workout I came home and pulled out an old recipe for a great protein shake that one of my personal trainer’s had given to me for an afternoon snack option. So I did just that and it was a wonderful treat!
Here’s the recipe:
- 1 scoop of chocolate whey protein powder (I recommend whey protein powder as opposed to others, but the flavor of the powder can be changed to your own preference)
- 1/2 frozen banana – cut up
- 1/2 cup of milk (I use fat free milk, but other types will work just as well)
- 2 teaspoons of natural peanut butter (One tip for having the peanut butter not stick is to run the spoon under hot water before scooping out the peanut butter)
- 1/4 cup water
- Chopped ice
Then blend all of the ingredients together and enjoy!
