Women’s Health Run 10 Feed 10 Race

At the end of this month I will be running my first race. It is the Women’s Health Run 10 Feed 10 Race. I have been training for a few weeks now and am getting really excited. Since I have moved to NYC I have decided to take up running as a new thing to involve myself in. What excites me about this particular race is that the money raised will go directly to feeding the homeless in New York City. I think this is a great cause and any amount of money would make an impact. I would love to be able to raise some money for this race. Any donations would help and I would greatly appreciate it.

Oh this crazy life…

I haven’t realized how crazy my life has been until this weekend when I got sick and was forced to actually relax and sit down for more than 10 seconds. Then I got the strange feeling that I don’t like relaxing anymore. Hah how ironic. It has been a month now since I moved to New York City and my semi-active life has turned into a full blown active lifestyle! It’s amazing yet exhausting all at the same time. Nevertheless, I have been able to keep up with my exercise, plus all of the walking around the city. A mentor at work asked how my blog was coming along and I felt slightly embarrassed to say that I was too tired to take the time to post my workouts after doing them, but then I realized that this blog is one of my main motivations to keep strong. So here I am…finally back!

Fabletics Order

I just placed my first order for a Fabletics outfit! I have heard great reviews of the apparel and can’t wait to give it a try! Once I receive my outfit I will post a review and pictures. If you sign up to view styles chosen for you each month, you can save even more, but you also have the option to skip the month and not buy anything.  It’s free to join.  Check it out! Busy, Busy, Busy

Hello! It has been quite some time since I have posted anything. Sometimes life just gets in the way and there is never a moment for downtime. These past few months have been hectic and demanding, not always giving me the time I want to workout. Nevertheless, I am back and motivated to post new workouts, recipes and motivational pictures!  One thing to always remember is that fitness is a lifestyle!

So I had a bit of a setback this past week…I injured my Achilles tendon. Just normal walking causes incredible pain and trying to run was an even worse idea. Nevertheless I have made it to the gym! This is still my month and I can definitely say that my eating has been clean and healthy. I have been loving pomegranates this past month! If you haven’t tried them you definitely need to! Who doesn’t love an antioxidant filled fruit with immune supporting effects? For tips on how to pick them check this link: http://iowagirleats.com/2012/01/25/how-to-eat-a-pomegranate/

Keep up the good work!

Back on the grind!

Saying this past month has been busy would be an understatement! It has been crazy, hectic and everywhere in between. Thankfully the month is coming to an end with one of my favorite holidays of the year…HALLOWEEN! I hope everyone has been working hard to get into shape to look good in their costumes!

Although I haven’t posted at all this past month doesn’t mean that I have not been working out. I would be lying if I didn’t admit that I haven’t been spending as much time as I would like to in the gym, but that is going to change! I am declaring November as MY MONTH. It is time to spend on myself, working on getting into kick ass shape by eating clean and training dirty. You should join in too! The thing about fitness is that it is a lifestyle not a fad diet.

So glad to be back! Happy training!
