Women’s Health Run 10 Feed 10 Race

Hello!

At the end of this month I will be running my first race. It is the Women’s Health Run 10 Feed 10 Race. I have been training for a few weeks now and am getting really excited. Since I have moved to NYC I have decided to take up running as a new thing to involve myself in. What excites me about this particular race is that the money raised will go directly to feeding the homeless in New York City. I think this is a great cause and any amount of money would make an impact. I would love to be able to raise some money for this race. Any donations would help and I would greatly appreciate it.

I am usually a proponent of working the same muscle groups together on the same day (chest and triceps), but I saw the squat machine open at the gym and it was just calling my name out! So I decided to do a little tricep/leg mix and I didn’t mind the burn in both target areas.

Plus some cardio – because who doesn’t love a good heart racing, blood pumping burn!

I haven’t realized how crazy my life has been until this weekend when I got sick and was forced to actually relax and sit down for more than 10 seconds. Then I got the strange feeling that I don’t like relaxing anymore. Hah how ironic. It has been a month now since I moved to New York City and my semi-active life has turned into a full blown active lifestyle! It’s amazing yet exhausting all at the same time. Nevertheless, I have been able to keep up with my exercise, plus all of the walking around the city. A mentor at work asked how my blog was coming along and I felt slightly embarrassed to say that I was too tired to take the time to post my workouts after doing them, but then I realized that this blog is one of my main motivations to keep strong. So here I am…finally back!

Today I decided to try a few new back exercises at the gym using the cables. I really liked the change up and will most definitely incorporate the new moves into my routines. Here’s my workout from today:
